- It’s been a long time coming, but Flight of a Lifetime has finally been released! Published by Athena Press it is available on Amazon and can be ordered through Gardners from any UK bookshop or through Ingram Book Distribution at US bookshops. There is no news yet as to who will stock it, though. Over here I shall use my powers of persuasion, as for the States I am lost. Go and buy it though: you will thank me for it. What’s it about for anyone who does not know?
In December 1994, I was hit by a car suffering a massive head injury. London’s medical helicopter, HEMS, airlifted me to hospital; three hospitals and five months later I was set free. Free with the knowledge to write about my accident - a tale of my life, my death and my resurrection. I finished writing my autobiography in 1997, but I didn’t look for a publisher for a decade. Within three WEEKS of receiving my manuscript my publishers sent me a contract!
Flight of a Lifetime (search for it on Facebook) is a bloody good read and will make the reader laugh and cry at the same time. At the end of the day I wrote about my death and made it funny. The book is inspirational! It may not change the world, but I hope it will make people's perception of the world change. First and foremost it was written to cheer people up, but I hope it will also make people realise that the world we live in is not such a bad place and we should all just get along and stop fighting.
